Last Supper tickets sold out? What to do in 2026-27
Official Last Supper tickets in Milan go on sale in batches and sell out. Here is what the official site says about the next release, the weekly Wednesday tickets, prices and ID rules, and what tours that include a ticket cost.

Seeing Leonardo's Last Supper in Milan takes a booked, named ticket for a fixed 15-minute slot, and the official tickets often sell out. This guide explains how official releases work, what is known about the next one, and what to do when the calendar shows no seats.

The short answer
- Check the official booking site first. Official tickets cost EUR 15 and are sold only through the channels linked from cenacolovinciano.org.
- If your date is sold out, try the weekly release. Extra tickets go on sale every Wednesday at 12:00 (Milan time) for the following week, online only.
- If that fails, a tour that includes the ticket is the realistic way in. On 19 October 2026, every official entry date to 31 December 2026 showed no seats. Tours with a ticket on Tiqets' Last Supper page (opens Tiqets in a new tab) started at USD 105.57.
How official tickets are released
Tickets go on sale in batches, roughly three months at a time. The current batch covers 1 September to 31 December 2026. It went on sale on Tuesday 23 June 2026 at 12:00, announced the day before (Cenacolo Vinciano, 22 June 2026).
Is the 2027 batch out? No. As of 19 October 2026, neither the museum's news page nor the booking platform had announced tickets for January 2027 or later. The booking platform states that visits cannot be booked for dates after 31 December 2026 (Vivaticket). We will not guess a date. Watch the museum's news page: earlier batches were announced there between one and eight days before sales opened.
Ignore the fixed quarterly calendar on the museum's info page: the 2026 batches (February–April, May–August, September–December) did not follow it.
Purchase limits. The three official channels are (Cenacolo Vinciano):
- Online at lastsupper.shop, which leads to the Vivaticket platform: up to 5 tickets.
- Call centre, +39 02 92800360: up to 9 tickets.
- Email (groups only), cenacologruppi@adartem.art: 10 tickets or more.
There is also a yearly cap online, and the official pages word it differently. The booking platform says one purchase per calendar year of up to 5 tickets; the museum's FAQ says up to 5 tickets "twice during the calendar year". Assume you get one online order a year and choose carefully.
Names on tickets. Tickets are named to stop resale. You enter each visitor's name before paying. The booking platform and the 22 June notice say names cannot be changed afterwards; dates and times cannot be changed, and tickets are not refundable (Cenacolo Vinciano FAQ).
Official prices and what the visit is
Prices and hours as of October 2026, from the museum's info page and the booking platform:
| Official rule (as of October 2026) | |
|---|---|
| Full ticket | EUR 15 (age 25 and over) |
| Reduced | EUR 2, age 18 to 24, EU citizens and reciprocity countries |
| Free | Under 18, EU citizens and reciprocity countries; still needs a booking |
| Official guided tour | EUR 8 per person on top of the ticket, set times |
| Visit length | 15 minutes, up to 40 people per slot |
| Open | Tuesday to Sunday, 08:15–19:00, last entry 18:45 |
| Ticket office | Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00–18:45 |
| Closed | Mondays, 1 January, 25 December |
Who counts for reduced and free entry. The museum's FAQ limits both to EU citizens and to countries with a reciprocity agreement, which it lists as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Uruguay (Cenacolo Vinciano FAQ). The price table on the info page simply says "FREE up to 18 years", so if your children are not EU citizens, check at booking. Proof of the right to free entry is checked at the ticket office, and anyone without it pays the full price.
Why some slots cost more. Some time slots include the museum's own guided tour or workshop. English tours run several times a day at set times, for EUR 8 per person extra; workshops cost EUR 13 extra (Cenacolo Vinciano FAQ). The FAQ and the booking page list slightly different tour times, so check the slot you pick. That makes the official guided visit EUR 23 per adult, the cheapest guided option by far. On 19 October 2026 it was also sold out to 31 December.
Sold out: the options, in order
- Wednesday 12:00 release. Extra tickets for the following week go on sale every Wednesday at 12:00, only on the online platform and only for individual visitors (up to 5 tickets) (Cenacolo Vinciano, 22 June 2026). Milan is on CET from 25 October 2026, so convert the time before you log in. Register on Vivaticket beforehand; the account needs email activation (FAQ).
- Check again, daily. The museum says availability "updates daily" and advises checking the site several times (Cenacolo Vinciano).
- Call centre. +39 02 92800360 sells up to 9 tickets. We found no official statement that it holds seats the website does not, so treat it as another way to buy, not a back door.
- Split your group. The booking calendar can filter dates by a minimum number of free seats. If 4 seats together are gone, single seats in different slots on the same day may not be.
- Free and special days. Free first Sundays are released online at 12:00 on the Wednesday before, up to 5 tickets, and the museum warns availability is not guaranteed (Cenacolo Vinciano).
Tours that include the ticket: what they cost and include
When the official calendar is empty, tour operators that bought slots in advance are the remaining option. On 19 October 2026, Tiqets' Last Supper page (opens Tiqets in a new tab) listed 14 products, from USD 105.57. None was a plain entry ticket: every one came with a guide, a city walk, an audio-guided bus tour or a Duomo visit. One ("The Last Supper: Guided Tour") was marked "Temporarily unavailable". Prices below are as shown on 19 October 2026 in USD; your currency may differ.
| Type | Product (as named on Tiqets) | From | Length / group | Cancellation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Short guided visit | The Last Supper: Skip The Line Ticket + Guided Tour (CityWalkers) | USD 106.69 | 1 h, up to 34 | Non-refundable |
| Small group | The Last Supper: Skip The Line Ticket + Small-Group Guided Tour | USD 128.03 | 1 h, up to 6 | Free until 24 h before |
| City walk + Last Supper | Milan: Guided Walking Tour + The Last Supper Skip The Line Ticket | USD 111.18 | Not stated | Free until 24 h before |
| Duomo combo | Duomo di Milano, The Last Supper & Teatro alla Scala: Entry + City Walking Tour | USD 133.64 | 3 h 30 min, up to 35 | Free until 24 h before |
Things to know before you pay:
- This costs about 4 times the official guided visit. USD 106.69 was about EUR 95 at the ECB rate on 19 October 2026 (EUR 1 = USD 1.1225), against EUR 23 for the official ticket plus guided tour, or EUR 15 for the ticket alone. You pay for access on a sold-out date; the 15-minute limit still applies.
- "Skip the line" does not add time or get you in without a slot. It means the operator already holds your timed ticket.
- Several products cost more for similar content. Another "Skip The Line Ticket + Guided Tour" listing was USD 167.78 (up to 20 people, non-refundable). Compare group size and cancellation, not just the name.
- Names and ID still apply. The walking tour's page says "Disclosing your full name and providing proof of ID is required to see The Last Supper", and the small-group tour asks for "A valid form of ID or photocopy".
- Check the date. On 19 October 2026, Tiqets showed options on most days from 21 October, but none on Tuesday 20 or Monday 26 October.
On the day
Official ticket holders. The ticket office is on Via Fratelli Ruffini, about 10 m left of the museum's main entrance. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your slot, show the booking confirmation and an ID document, or you lose your entry. After validation, go to the museum entrance at least 15 minutes before your time (Cenacolo Vinciano, 22 June 2026).
Tour customers. Follow your voucher. Most products we checked asked you to be at the meeting point 10 to 15 minutes before the start; the operator handles the ticket.
Bags. Bulky bags, luggage, food and drinks are not allowed. The ticket office has a limited number of free lockers for the length of the visit (up to 60 minutes), and you cannot go back in once you leave (Cenacolo Vinciano FAQ). Expect security checks with a metal detector (Regulations).
Getting there. The address is Piazza di Santa Maria delle Grazie 2. The nearest metro stations are Conciliazione (M1, red line) and Cadorna (M1 and M2, green line); tram 16 stops at Santa Maria delle Grazie on Corso Magenta (Cenacolo Vinciano; station lines confirmed on ATM's city-centre map). The museum is inside Milan's Area C traffic charge zone.
Quick answers
Do children need a ticket? Yes, even when entry is free, and they count towards the 40-person limit. The museum's FAQ says babies too; the booking platform says children from 1 year of age (FAQ).
Can I take photos? Do not plan on it. The museum's regulations ban flash photography and video in the Refectory and the use of mobile phones along the route and in the Refectory (Regulations). Professional photography needs written permission.
Can I buy at the door? No. Booking is required for every ticket, free ones included. The ticket office validates booked tickets; it is not a walk-up sale.
Is a resale site "official"? The museum says the official channels are its licensee's website, the call centre and the group email, and "There are no other channels" (FAQ). Start from the links on cenacolovinciano.org. Tour sellers, including Tiqets, are not official ticket channels; they sell tours that include a ticket.
