The official Real Alcázar ticket costs EUR 15.50 and is sold in 30-minute time slots. Here are the official 2026 prices, who gets in free, how the free Monday hour works, what to do when the official shop is sold out, and when a guided tour is worth paying for.

The Real Alcázar of Seville sells timed tickets in 30-minute slots, and the official ticket is the cheapest way in. Below: official 2026 prices, who enters free, how the free Monday hour works, what to do when it's sold out, and when a guided tour is worth it.

Planning a trip? Start with our Spain country guide and the Seville city guide.

The short answer

  1. Cheapest way in. Buy on the official ticket shop. The general ticket costs EUR 15.50 (as of 21 October 2026). Tiqets' plain entry ticket costs EUR 21, and both are timed, non-refundable tickets.
  2. Sold out online? The ticket office keeps "a very limited quota of tickets for each 30-minute time slot", sold only on the day (official FAQ).
  3. When a reseller makes sense. If you want a guide, or a Cathedral combo you can cancel up to 48 hours ahead. Details in sections 4 and 5.

Official ticket types and 2026 prices

The palace is run by the Patronato del Real Alcázar y de la Casa Consistorial de Sevilla. Prices come from its fee ordinance, published in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Sevilla on 23 December 2024 (ordinance PDF). The official visit page showed the same prices on 21 October 2026. We found no later change.

TicketPrice (as of 21 October 2026)What it covers
General entry (Entrada General)EUR 15.50Ground floor of the palaces, and the gardens
Cuarto Real Alto (upper royal rooms)EUR 5.50 extraAn organised partial visit to the upper floor of the Palace of King Pedro
ReducedEUR 8Over 65, and students or European Youth Card holders up to 30, with proof
Free (a ticket is still needed)EUR 0See the list below

So general entry plus the upper rooms costs EUR 21. The official shop sells this as "Visit Royal Alcázar + Royal Upper Rooms".

Reduced tickets. The ordinance gives the student and youth-card age range as 13 to 30; the official visit page says 14 to 30. The page adds that reduced tickets, once for EU citizens only, are now open to everyone, and the shop's FAQ confirms that non-EU students qualify. Show your document at the entrance.

Free entry (ordinance, article 4), for:

  • Children up to 13 with an adult
  • People born in or living in the city of Seville (booking required)
  • People with a disability of 33% or more, plus a companion. The FAQ says these free tickets "must be collected at the ticket office, subject to availability"
  • Unemployed residents of Seville province, and ICOMOS members

Bonus. The FAQ says the EUR 15.50 general ticket also gets you into the Antiquarium, Casa Fabiola and the Museo de la Cerámica de Triana, valid on the same day or the next.

No refunds. The FAQ says tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled "regardless of the reason". The ordinance adds that any booking fee is never refunded, and that closing part of the palace or gardens for maintenance or bad weather brings no discount or refund.

The free Monday hour

The official shop lists a separate product called "Free Monday – Visit to the Royal Alcázar". On 21 October 2026 it showed "SOLD OUT". Its legal basis is the ordinance's free public visits, held on days and at times set by the Patronato's Executive Commission.

What we could and could not confirm:

  • Times. We found no official page giving them. Tiqets' Alcázar page says Mondays 16:00–17:00 from October to March and 18:00–19:00 from April to September. Treat those times as unconfirmed.
  • Booking. It is sold as an online ticket, not as a walk-up hour. The FAQ says the "ID Card, NIE or Passport" field is mandatory on every purchase, and that the physical document is checked at entry. Bring the ID you booked with.
  • Fee and release dates. The free Monday product page was behind a bot check when we tried to open it, so we could not see whether it carries a booking fee or when new dates appear. The FAQ says there are "no waiting lists, early ticket releases, or alternative channels".

If the free hour is sold out, the reduced EUR 8 ticket or the free categories above may still apply to you.

Sold out on the official site: the options

The FAQ says "On high-demand dates, tickets may sell out in advance." Your options, in order of cost:

  1. Try another slot or day. Entry runs "by 30-minute time slot, with limited capacity", and you must arrive at the time on your ticket.
  2. Same-day tickets at the ticket office. The office is in the Patio de Banderas and opens at 09:00. It sells same-day tickets only, and card is the only payment (official visit page). Each buyer must queue in person with ID; "It is not permitted for one person to arrive at the ticket office and purchase tickets for other people." On busy dates the FAQ advises arriving at least an hour before opening. The quota is for general entry only, not the Cuarto Real Alto.
  3. A guided tour or Cathedral combo. Tour operators supply the tickets (one Tiqets tour says "The guide will give you your tickets"), so a tour may have space when the official shop has none. We cannot promise this: the official calendar was behind a bot check, so we could not compare the two calendars. On 21 October 2026 the earliest date offered for every Tiqets Alcázar product was 30 October, so Tiqets did not help for the same week.

The combo worth a look is Tiqets' Royal Alcázar of Seville, Cathedral & Giralda: Entry + Guided Tour (opens Tiqets in a new tab). It cost EUR 65 (USD 72.98) on every date from 30 October to 28 November 2026. It lasts 3 h 30 min, takes up to 30 people with headsets, and lets you "Cancel for free until 48 hours before your visit date". Bought separately, official entry costs EUR 15.50 for the Alcázar plus EUR 13 online for the Cathedral and Giralda (2026 price, Seville Cathedral), or EUR 28.50 in total. The other EUR 36.50 pays for the guide and the option to cancel. Tiqets lists a strict dress code for this tour: knees and shoulders covered, no hats or sunglasses.

Skip Tiqets' plain entry ticket. "Royal Alcázar of Seville: Entry Ticket" cost EUR 21 (USD 23.58) on every date we checked. It is timed like the official ticket, nonrefundable, and "Rescheduling is not possible". That is EUR 5.50 more for the same product, with no extra flexibility. Tiqets names "Alcazar Sevilla" as its supplier, while the official FAQ says tickets are sold "exclusively through the official website". We could not find out how the two fit together.

Guided tour or audio guide?

Audio guide. The official site links a free web audio guide (official visit page). When we opened it on 21 October 2026, it asked for no payment or sign-in. It covers the Palace of Pedro I, the Gothic Palace and the gardens. Tiqets' "Fast Track Ticket + Audio Guide App" cost EUR 28 (USD 31.44), EUR 12.50 more than official entry.

Guided tours on Tiqets (prices for 30 October to 28 November 2026, read on 21 October 2026):

Tiqets productPriceLengthMax groupCancellation
Royal Alcázar of Seville: Guided Tour (entry + guided tour)EUR 35–39 (USD 39.29–43.79)Not stated on the option page30Nonrefundable
Royal Alcázar of Seville: Small Group Guided Tour (from Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, headset included)EUR 54.90 (USD 61.64)1 h 30 min15Nonrefundable
Royal Alcázar of Seville: Small Group Guided Tour (13:00 start)EUR 49.99 (USD 56.12)1 h 15 min10Nonrefundable
Royal Alcázar of Seville, Cathedral & Giralda: Entry + Guided TourEUR 65 (USD 72.98)3 h 30 min30Free until 48 h before

All four include entry. Three of the four tell you to bring an original ID or passport; the fourth refers you to your voucher.

Our view: the official ticket plus the free audio guide costs EUR 15.50 and covers the same rooms. A guide is worth paying for if you want the history explained and questions answered. If you do book one, the small-group tours on Tiqets (opens Tiqets in a new tab) cap groups at 10 or 15 people, against 30 on the standard tour. They cost EUR 34–40 more than official entry and cannot be cancelled, so book them only once your dates are fixed.

On the day

Opening hours (as of 21 October 2026, official visit page):

SeasonOpenVisitors cleared from
1 October – 31 March09:30–17:0017:45
1 April – 30 September09:30–19:0019:45

The palace is closed on 1 and 6 January, Good Friday and 25 December. On 24 and 31 December it is open in the morning only.

Entrance. The official map shows the entrance at the Patio del León and the exit by the Patio de Banderas. Tiqets' entry ticket tells online buyers to skip the ticket office and use the "Online tickets access at Puerta del León". Tiqets says the venue scans "a valid ID or passport" at the entrance, and it "has to match the one you provide during the booking process". and that in peak season you may queue briefly "due to security reasons". Tiqets' entry ticket lets you in from 15 minutes before to 30 minutes after your slot; the official FAQ only says you must respect the time on your ticket. We found no official list of banned items.

What to see in 2–3 hours, in the order of the official map:

  • Palace of King Pedro (Palacio del Rey Don Pedro): Patio de las Doncellas, Salón de Embajadores, Patio de las Muñecas
  • Gothic Palace (Palacio Gótico): the tapestry hall and the Baños de Doña María de Padilla
  • Gardens: Estanque de Mercurio, Galería del Grutesco, Jardín de la Danza, Pabellón de Carlos V
  • Cuarto Real Alto, only if you bought the EUR 5.50 add-on

The official site publishes no visit length, so plan your own time.
